Small Luxury Hotels of the World Ltd (SLH) has announced the appointment of Martin Rinck to the Executive Board. Martin is a seasoned hospitality executive with over 35 years of global experience in strategy, operations, business development, P&L and brand management, having held leadership positions at some of the world’s largest hospitality companies and bringing extensive business, talent, and stakeholder management expertise.

“Martin brings an incredible amount of experience that will be invaluable in helping to guide SLH forward,” said Shaun Leleu, Chairman SLH. “We look forward to working closely with Martin and leveraging his wealth of international luxury hotel experience and track record of growing brands, developing digital platforms and nurturing communities.”

Martin is a global citizen with a strong desire to impact communities in the critical areas of sustainability and education. Throughout Martin’s long-standing career, which covers ten countries on three continents, he has been highly engaged with multiple NGOs in Cambodia, Indonesia, Bali, Singapore, and Washington, DC.  He is also actively involved with Room to Read, a non-profit that supports the education of girls in developing countries.

As a member of the Executive Board, Martin will be integral in supporting the Shamoon family’s strategic vision and growth plan for SLH, along with their continued expansion of independently owned and operated properties.

“It’s truly remarkable what the Shamoon family, alongside the Board and the team, have already accomplished by building a community of more than 520 independent and unique hotel experiences in more than 90 countries”, said Martin Rinck. “And, I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to join the Executive Board and support the continued strategic growth of the company.”
