EquipHotel, ever more design-centred

In 2018, Les Architecteurs redefine the hotel lobby! Reception areas in the hospitality industry are changing: they are becoming multi-purpose, variable geometry spaces, which people use to check in, meet up with others, converse, work, play, observe, relax and experience all that a space open to its surroundings can offer. Les Architecteurs will unveil an innovative and effective reception area at EquipHotel… and it’s right there as you walk into the show!

Trend-spotters

Les Architecteurs are also “trend-spotters” at EquipHotel 2018. Their brief is to select the exhibitors’ products that best represent these five trends: innovation, design, eco-design, inventiveness and connectivity.

Les Architecteurs have a dual role as both architects and builders. They manage the entire construction process to deliver turnkey buildings within a guaranteed budget and timeframe. Whether they are building, renovating, extending or restyling, the solutions they offer have a constant focus on combining well-being, comfort, technical excellence and financial savings. The Architecteurs are heavily involved in research and sustainable development, and bring a holistic approach to their developments and energy improvements.

Opening session (Hall 7.3)

To open the show on Monday 12 November, EquipHotel is organising a morning of panel discussions looking at the future of hospitality and catering in France and Europe. (9.30 am – 12.30 pm) in the Conference Area (Pavilion 7.3).

Topics covered:

09.45 – 10.45 am: The gastronomic experience in 2050

What form will gastronomy take in 2050? What will customers want? What and how will we eat in 2050? Led by our patron Thierry Marx, students from the Ferrandi, ENSCI and ESSEC schools conducted a study based on two different scenarios taking into account environmental, technological, agricultural, societal and public health factors: in the first, the resources were protected and in the second they were depleted…

A key question will be raised: how will today’s issues impact and transform the catering sector of tomorrow?

The goal is to meet the expectations of professionals visiting and exhibiting at EquipHotel by providing an analysis of what fine dining will be like in 2050! According to Thierry Marx, “Today we need to start putting in place what we want for tomorrow”.

11.00-12.00 noon: Panel discussion – How will sporting events affect the economy and tourism by 2024?

In the presence of Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State to the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs (speakers to be confirmed).

Don’t miss the multitude of competitions, awards ceremonies, and guided tours, too. To find out more, or to register for a pass visit: www.equiphotel.com
