ercol at Maison et Objet 2019
Iconic British furniture makers, ercol will be introducing visitors at Maison et Objet to its latest and very best furniture collections, including new additions to its award winning VON collection.
Designed by Hylnur V. Atlason, the VON Collection caters for three areas – home/work/play.
Offering a warm, natural palette the collection is designed to be highly functional, yet generate a feeling of home when configured in any space.
Comprising of chairs, benches and table units, the innovative designs can be combined to fit the requirements of both domestic and commercial spaces.
On display at the show will be a new stool that can be used as a seat on its own or as a foot stool to fit with the chair.
Also being shown for the first time is an interlocking feature which includes an armrest and sits between the stools, so they can be used in a row.
Taking inspiration from one of Lucian Ercolani’s archived designs – the 427 Chair, which was originally launched in 1956, the VON collection offers a response to this design that is fit for the 21st century. Reflecting an increasing fluidity between the modern home, workspace and hospitality settings, the VON Collection is a part of the evolution of how we see furniture design in the present day.
In addition, the brand will be displaying vintage pieces to highlight the history and heritage of the brand alongside the contemporary Marino and Modulo ranges.
