Launch of new decorative show LuxuryMade
Venue: The Pillar Hall, London and the Upper Pillar Hall, London
Date: 21–24 September 2016
Media 10 is delighted to announce the inaugural edition of LuxuryMade, London’s new contemporary decorative show staged as part of London Design Festival 2016.
Heralding a highly selective approach to luxury design events, LuxuryMade focuses on the high-end interior design market, providing the very best examples of product across accessories, lighting, fabrics and furniture. LuxuryMade will bring together 50 of the best brands in a unique setting spanning two distinct spaces: The Pillar Hall, a sumptuous banqueting room with richly moulded marble Corinthian columns and decorative ceiling, and the Upper Pillar Hall – a previously hidden gem with faded grandeur, once the UK’s first electric cinema. Both LuxuryMade spaces were constructed as part of the original Olympia site opened in 1886 as the ‘Princes Apartments’, amply demonstrating grand Victorian architecture. LuxuryMade will play a central part of a new West Kensington design district, alongside Design Museum and 100% Design in 2016.
William Knight, Event Director comments, ‘The launch of LuxuryMade marks an exciting moment for Media 10, the London Design Festival and the interior design community. ‘By staging a beautifully produced and highly selective showcase of some of the best contemporary and decorative brands in a stunning central location, it responds to an expanding market in need of a new high quality event and visitor experience. ‘We have placed this ambitious show within the emerging powerhouse of design in West Kensington – alongside the new Design Museum and resurgent 100% Design.’
