Floating hotel and spa set to open in Artic Sweden
Posted in Future, News on 20 November, 2017
Set to open in early 2018, the Artic Bath in the very north of Sweden, will feature a spa treatment room, four saunas, an outside cold bath, a hot bath, outside and inside showers and two dressing rooms for customers.
In the middle of the spa – which is reminiscent of a bird’s nest – will be a refreshing pool heated to just four degrees.
Brave guests can plunge into the ice bath after a session in one of the saunas. While less daring guests can find warmth inside the cosy cabin.
The design is inspired by the timber floating era, where trees felled in local forests were transported down the river to be processed.
Visitors can then stay overnight in one of the six hotel cabins, which will float or be fixed close to the spa.
