Ikos Resorts to open on Kos and Corfu
Award winning Ikos Resorts, launched only two years ago, has purchased two key properties to expand its portfolio. With existing properties including Ikos Olivia and Ikos Oceania in Halkidiki Greece, Ikos Resorts is opening two new properties on the Greek islands of Corfu and Kos. Offering sophisticated luxury in premier beachfront locations, these new properties will continue to reflect the Ikos Resorts ‘Infinite Lifestyle’ concept, allowing guests to experience the convenience and affordability of an all-inclusive paired with total indulgence.
Dr Andreas A. Andreadis, CEO of Ikos Resorts said: “We want to build on the achievements of the last two years, to further develop the Ikos brand and introduce the ‘Infinite Lifestyle’ concept to Kos and Corfu. We will continue to invest not only in Ikos Resorts, but also in the local economies by employing local people and the continued overall development and progression of Greek Tourism.”
New Ikos Resorts Properties
The first new Ikos Resorts property, the third in the group, will be located on the beautiful island of Corfu and is set to open in May 2018. Corfu Chandris and Dassia Chandris hotels have been acquired and a total renovation will take place on both properties, which will become a single five-star property. With a planned investment of €110m, the new Ikos Dassia will showcase approximately 410 rooms and suites. Located in the beautiful area of Dassia, located only 10 minutes from Corfu town, this property will be perfectly positioned for guests to explore the history and culture of Corfu.
The fourth Ikos Resorts property is due to open in 2019 and will be situated in Kefalos on the island of Kos. An investment of €90 million has been made to acquire Club Med in Kefalos, which will be transformed into the five-star Ikos Kefalos offering approximately 410 rooms and suites. Ideal for families and perfectly located on the south-west coast of the island, this idyllic beachfront location is sure to become the premier luxury holiday destination on Kos.
In keeping with the current positioning of Ikos Resorts as actively embracing and connecting with the local community, this expansion of the Ikos Resorts portfolio with two new properties is set to create around 1,000 new jobs when both hotels are operational.
