AB Concept unveils La Corniche Villa in the Cote d’Azur
Hong Kong-based interior design studio AB Concept has announced the development of their first European private residence, La Corniche Villa in the Cote d’Azur. Showcasing their signature blend of architectural precision with bespoke craftsmanship, this is an iconic address for the private owner who commissioned AB Concept, with enviable elegant interiors and views of the magnificent sea beyond.
Located at the most prominent tip of the French Riviera, the villa was designed to accentuate and complement the natural surroundings while the interiors present a space that remain true to the AB Concept design philosophy. Natural marble slabs, precious and semi-precious stones, oak wood and natural light used throughout the residence create a relaxed and yet sophisticated villa atmosphere, which can be enjoyed by the family as well as for intimate gatherings.
Differentiating from typical western styles, decorative bronze dividers and décor along with window lacing and antique mirrors have been incorporated suggesting Asian influence and ambiance. For founders Ed Ng and Terence Ngan of AB Concept, the details in a project have always been of great importance as they play a major role in the users experience and help to enhance the design concept.
“The Cote d’Azur is one of my favourite places because of the stunning coastline, delicious food and great fashion scene,” comments Ed Ng, Co-Founder and Principal of AB Concept. “It was a pleasure for us to work on this project and to convey this story throughout combining our own design inspirations”.
Each of AB Concept’s designs tell a unique story through a spatial experience that is underpinned by the essentials of architectural precision in space planning and a bespoke sensibility that reflects the artisanal quality and craftsmanship of each project. For La Corniche Villa, ‘comfort’ was the key objective and this helped to pave the way for the project.
