Ascott unveils the brand new Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden
Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden, one of Ascott’s seven properties in London, has completed its extensive renovations, offering guests a refreshed and enhanced experience in the heart of London. The refurbishment, inspired by the architectural landmarks of High Holborn and Covent Garden, brings a new level of comfort and style to the property.
Inspiration and design
The design of Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden draws inspiration from the iconic architectural landmarks of the area. The Victorian brickwork of the Holborn Bars has influenced the terracotta tones in the Studio apartments, while the bright blue-green steelwork of the Covent Garden Market contrasts with the beige brickwork, inspiring the tones of the one-bedroom apartments. The arches and ribbed glasswork from the Cuban Embassy are also reflected in the architectural detailing and FFE design throughout the property.
Rooms
Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden now offers three types of rooms: studio classic (269 sq ft), studio executive (269 sq ft) and one-bedroom apartment executive (538 sq ft) – each of them designed to provide a comfortable and convenient stay.
The studio classic offers a cosy space with a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for solo travellers or couples. The studio executive provides a similar space but comes with a Nespresso coffee machine, ideal for coffee lovers. The one-bedroom apartment executive provides additional space, with a separate living area and bedroom, offering ample space for families or those who prefer more room to relax. All room types feature modern decor, high-speed Wi-Fi, and access to the apart ‘hotel’s facilities such as laundry services and fitness centre.
Upgrades and enhancements
Some of the upgrades and new experiences at Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden include:
- Fully renovated rooms: With new furniture, fixtures and equipment. Kitchens come with a variety of appliances.
- Renovated lobby and guest lounge: These have been redesigned to include flexible working, lounging and breakout areas, providing a comfortable space for guests to relax or work. The lobby keeps offering Citadines’ signature “café check-in” experience.
- Renovated breakfast area: The breakfast area has been fully renovated to offer a pleasant dining experience for guests
- Renovated fitness centre: New design and modern exercise equipment for guests to maintain their fitness routine while at the property.
- New hybrid AC system: Providing optimal comfort for guests.
- Room energy management system: Enhancing sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Renovated meeting rooms: Featuring new AV equipment, furniture and equipment.
