Axiom Hospitality completes acquisition of Hilton Cardiff

Axiom Hospitality are excited to announce their second deal in quick succession with Castleforge Partners, as they take on the management of the 197-bedroom Hilton Cardiff. This follows on from Castleforge and Axiom’s acquisition earlier in June of the Best Western Plus Bruntsfield Hotel in Edinburgh.

Jamie Lamb, Founding Partner and Co-CEO said, “We are delighted to have completed our second acquisition with Castleforge. We look forward to working with the hotel teams in both Cardiff and Edinburgh as they continue to resume their operations, welcome back guests and start on transformational refurbishment plans”.

Commenting on the Hilton Cardiff purchase, Matt Lederer, Hotel Acquisitions Director at Castleforge Partners said: “Our hotel strategy at Castleforge is to invest only in best in class value add opportunities across the UK and European markets. Our decision to invest in the city of Cardiff and the Hilton Hotel is emblematic of this approach.”

The Axiom team provided advisory services to Castleforge, on both deals, as part of the pre-acquisition due diligence in order to complete both transactions. In addition, Axiom’s Property Team will now work with Castleforge on a comprehensive refurbishment program of both hotels in to reposition these iconic hotels in the heart of Edinburgh and Cardiff respectively.
