Biggest UK space for Vitra opens at Heal’s
Furniture brand Vitra has opened its biggest consumer-facing UK space, within furnishings and homewares store Heal’s on London’s Tottenham Court Road.
The first floor area has been developed by in-house teams at Vitra and Heal’s, and offers an extensive colour and materials library, and exclusive designs.
It also features a Lounge Chair Atelier, allowing customers to personalise their version of the 20th century design classic.
The store sells both furniture and accessories, and is the first in the UK to offer a number of new ranges. These include updated versions of the Soft Modular Sofa by Jasper Morrison, alongside items from designers such as Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, Verner Panton and Charles & Ray Eames.
Vitra’s Kafo shelving unit is used to display accessories ranges, with bright product colours creating standout from a neutral interior colour palette.
“We are delighted to launch the ‘at home with Vitra’ concept at our flagship store on Tottenham Court Road,” says Heal’s head of buying Sabina Miller. “Vitra stands for the same values of design and craftsmanship that Heal’s stands for and is a great brand fit for our customer base. We worked closely with the team at Vitra to showcase the best of what they have to offer including iconic pieces such as the Eames Lounger chair, as well as the best of modern design, such as the Barber & Osgerby Mariposa sofa.”
