Château de La Redorte opens
Set on a vineyard estate in the South of France – in the heart of Languedoc region – the Chateau De La Redorte opens its doors to 25 suites.
Renovated by Propriétés & Co, the team behind the successful Couvent d’Hérépian boutique hotel, it is one of the grandest examples of a 19th century château built during Languedoc’s first ‘wine rush’.
The château’s faded glamour has been restored and it now boasts an inimitable blend of authenticity and luxury, with the refinement and elegance of chic country-style decoration.
Formal rooms have been transformed into an elegant restaurant, which will offer the best in fresh, local cuisine. There is also a stylish wine bar and a mysterious ‘wine tunnel’, which connects the château to a future olive grove. A luxury ‘Vineyard Spa’ will offer guests treatments using artisan products and outside, a 25-metre plunge pool is framed by the estate’s re-planted Mediterranean gardens.
The Château de La Redorte Estate also includes its own vineyard, which has been brought back to life by master wine-maker Frantz Vènes. The hotel will offer guests a number of unique wine experiences to book, including wine tasting in the unique ‘wine tunnel’ beneath the château and a tour of local vineyards in a Citroën 2CV.
