Corinthia Hotels takes home five coveted awards at the World Travel Awards & World Spa Awards 2016

Corinthia Hotels, the internationally renowned collection of luxury hotels, has won five coveted awards at the 2016 World Travel Awards and World Spa Awards, held at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy.

The five-star Corinthia Hotel Prague was awarded the ‘Czech Republic’s Leading Business Hotel’ for the second year running, while Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg took home ‘Russia’s Leading Conference Hotel’. The hotel’s original flagship and Malta’s leading grande dame hotel, Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, was awarded ‘Malta’s Leading Hotel’. ESPA Life at Corinthia, the award-winning spa at Corinthia London, was crowned ‘England’s Best Hotel Spa 2016’. Corinthia Khartoum’s Presidential Suite was awarded ‘Sudan’s Leading Hotel Suite’.

Corinthia Prague: ‘Czech Republic’s Leading Business Hotel 2016’

Corinthia Hotel Prague is a modern upscale business and leisure hotel, which has recently completed a total refurbishment of their lobby and reception, as well as the launch of the new ground-floor Lounge 62. Since May 2016, the hotel also features two brand-new boardrooms on the lobby level. This follows on from a 2014 hotel project to upgrade all meetings and events audio-visual infrastructure. Its state-of-the-art conference facilities include touch-screen multimedia information kiosks, built-in screens and projectors, newly built sound and light systems, as well as 4.54×2.55m SI Black screen, the first of its kind in Prague.

Corinthia Palace: ‘Malta’s Leading Hotel 2016’

Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa is the original flagship of Corinthia Hotels, opened in 1968, and is Malta’s leading Grande Dame hotel. Located in the heart of the island, adjacent to the Presidential Palace, the 150-room five-star Corinthia Palace exudes grace and historic charm. In November last year, the hotel hosted a banquet during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (26-28 November 2015), which was attended by The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, the former UK Prime Minister David Cameron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa also hosted Malta’s first artist in residence programme in April 2015, organised in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority.

With its state-of-the-art conference facilities, Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg boasts 17 multi-functional meeting spaces, including the stunning Nevsky Ballroom – elegantly decorated in art deco style and able to accommodate up to 500 people. Corinthia St Petersburg has previously won ‘Best Congress Hotel in St Petersburg’ at the Russian Business Travel & MICE Award in October 2015 and ‘Russia’s MICE Hotel of the Year’ at the Russian Hospitality Awards in February 2016.
