CSI Design Expo Americas, Miami 6-7 June – complete schedule of content announced
CSI Design Expo Americas (CSI) has announced its complete schedule of content for Thursday 6 – Friday 7 June, 2024.
The biggest names in cruise ship and hospitality interior design will discuss the hottest topics, from guest experience and future trends, to AI tools and immersive experiences. Expect thought-leading conversations, cross-industry knowledge swaps and live Q&As.
The CSI schedule of content will be the platform for the most dynamic conversations in the cruise ship interior design industry. The spotlight is on the future as speakers tangle with the forces shaping the next generation of cruise design and the all-new Attractions & Entertainment Technology Zone creating an exciting hub for the rapidly expanding cruise attractions sector.
The sessions taking place at this year’s conference include content that forecasts the industry changes, from much-discussed AI in AI tools in the creative process: Getting beyond the conceptual thinking application to anticipating the future guest with Next-Gen hospitality: Trends reshaping guest lifestyles. Speakers from Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line and MSC Cruises will explore present challenges and solutions in State of the Market: How does design enhance the guest experience in newbuild projects.
Meanwhile buyers planning on connecting with the cutting-edge technology and entertainment exhibitors at the Attractions & Entertainment Technology Zone should stop by Redefining entertainment at sea: Immersive experiences & attractions to hear how the industry’s top cruise lines are developing their attractions to meet guests’ huge demand for next-gen entertainment.
The speaker line-up across the schedule of content this year include Alix Loiseau, Director of Design & Construction, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, James Mitchell, SVP Newbuild, Norwegian Cruise Line, Linh Nguyen, Senior Interior Design Manager, Holland America Group, Emilie Ørgård Posniak Hansen, Architect, OSK Design, Ben Wilson, Head of Architecture & Concept Design, MSC Cruises, and many more.
With the emphasis staying focused on creating a space to connect, CSI is offering two chances to hear directly from decision-makers at the Meet the Brand Q&As. Speakers from industry leaders Royal Caribbean Group and YSA Design will shed light on the design and procurement processes within the industry, as well as answer quick-fire questions from attending suppliers and designers.
The program also features breakout talks including Universal design: Creating an inclusive experience for all, led by Christina Budd, Senior Interior Architect – Hotel Design & Projects, Carnival UK and Luke Spink, VP of Sales, USA and Canada, Panaz. Along with the Sustainable Design Summit Working Group Refurbishments: A circularity state of mind providing attendees the opportunity to participate in a hands-on workshop covering key sustainability topics and challenges facing those working within the hospitality travel interiors sectors.
With the cruise and hotel market continuing to cross over, an additional benefit of attending CSI is that attendees receive access to the co-located Hotel & Resort Design South and its curated conference program. Attendees can share ideas, draw inspiration from both markets, and meet with designers and suppliers working on the design of world-class hotels, resorts, and private island destinations in the South and LATAM.
