First AC Hotel by Mariott opens in Sweden
In early March, Sweden welcomed its first AC Hotel by Marriott in the area of Ulriksdal, Stockholm. The impressive 10,000 square metre property is a major addition to the peaceful district and aims to attract both international and local travelers. Through purposeful design and refined details, the four star hotel’s interior embodies modern elegance reflective of the city of Stockholm and the AC Marriott brand. Upon entering the double height lobby, visitors are greeted by a grand reception and lounge. Guests are directed towards the reception area with a striking feature back wall and illuminated pods. Located at the corner of the lounge is a modern bar where signature cocktails and beverages can be enjoyed. As the space transitions into a cozy restaurant, a beautiful open kitchen is revealed in creating intrigue and interaction between guests and staff. At the restaurant, patrons can enjoy the delicious morning breakfast buffet as well as the signature PicPoc restaurant offering traditional Swedish cuisine with Spanish influences. As these different areas are all open and interconnected, a consistent and refined design language is carried throughout to create a cohesive narrative. Hotel guests will have complimentary access to the adequately equipped indoor gym and fitness areas. As well as the opportunity to revitalize at the spacious wellness areas with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna rooms.
The AC Hotel is located adjacent to Ulriksdal train station and bus stop, allowing for extremely easy travel for all guests. The property is only 10 minutes from the capital’s centre and 30 minutes from the city’s main airport, Arlanda Stockholm. With the hotel’s convenient location, it is an excellent venue for all meetings and events. Five different event rooms are available to cater to any occasion with a maximum capacity of 110.
