The Gustav Zech Foundation Announces Takeover of Blumen Haus Lech
The Gustav Zech Foundation signed the contract to take over the Blumen Haus hotel development in Lech, through the acquisition of shares in the Blumenberg Anstalt. The five-star luxury hotel is now nearing completion and is due to open before Christmas as SEVERIN*S – The Alpine Retreat.
Throughout the development of this extraordinary Alpine retreat, special care has been placed on the use of traditional building materials. SEVERIN*S – The Alpine Retreat has been harmoniously integrated into Lech’s landscape by paying close attention to the history and traditions of the region, incorporating reclaimed Tyrolian wood with a stone façade and eye-catching copper roof. Inside this exceptional hotel, guests can expect the best of the old and the new with the highest quality fittings effortlessly blended with state-of-the-art technology.
“Similar to our hotel SEVERIN*S Resort & Spa on Sylt, the architecture and building materials are traditional and typical of the region and, with this, also authentic. On Sylt we have had a very good experience with the combination of traditional architecture and luxury and our guests feel very comfortable and at home here. In association with our philosophy of informal luxury, our guests will be able to relax and enjoy their holiday to the highest standard also in SEVERIN*S – The Alpine Retreat,” explains Markus Griesenbeck, Managing Director of the operating company ATLANTIC Hotel Management GmbH.
The hotel will offer nine sumptuous suites and a two-storey 423 square metre “Residence”, beautifully furnished with a contemporary Alpine style. Each spacious suite will provide an area of 47 to 67 square metres and will boast private terraces with marvellous views over the mountains. Three of the nine suites can be converted into family accommodation with sleeping space for children.
The “Residence” will bring a unique and unrivalled proposition to Lech, offering a luxurious master bedroom with freestanding bath, a further three bedrooms, modern kitchen, dining and living room, as well as a home cinema, bar, office and outdoor whirl pool. Perfect for those seeking the best of both worlds, the “Residence” combines space and privacy with the benefit of the hotel’s phenomenal facilities.
Guests can relax and enjoy 400 square metres of wellness facilities at SEVERIN*S -The Alpine Retreat, which will include a beauty salon, spa treatment suite, fitness centre and 12.5 metre swimming pool with counter currents, a waterfall, two saunas, a steam room and infrared cabin – the perfect way to relax and unwind!
Fresh air and mountain exploration calls for long luxurious dining experiences and SEVERIN*S – The Alpine Retreat won’t disappoint. Guests will be able to choose between in-suite or restaurant dining where innovative dishes will be served using quality organic produce with a local influence. The hotel will also offer a wine cellar for tastings, private dinners and exclusive events.
SEVERIN*S – The Alpine Retreat will be operated by ATLANTIC Hotel Management GmbH, which operates five star hotels including SEVERIN*S Resort & Spa on Sylt and the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel Travemünde.
