Founded in 1947 and by having proven relationships for many years with major hotel groups, cruise ship operators, interior designers, architects, shipyards, contractors and hospitality procurement groups, Chelsom has been able to secure large scale projects with the biggest names in the industry from all around the world. Recent success stories include the supply of lighting to projects such as Four Seasons Sydney, Ritz Carlton Berlin, Royal Caribbean Harmony of The Seas, Mandarin Oriental London, Carnival Mardi Gras, and Le Meridien Florida to name only a few. Chelsom has immense adaptability as a business and can work across all global markets and at any budget level allowing the company to service and supply projects ranging from Travelodge in UK and Holiday Inn Express across Europe at the lower end, all the way up to 5/6-star operators such as Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental.

2019 financial results posted a record year for Chelsom, both in terms of revenue and profit and it showed that sales around the world had more than doubled since 2014. 2020 has been a difficult year for many businesses following the COVID-19 pandemic but Chelsom has ridden the storm well and has adapted successfully in order to meet the challenges faced. In December 2020, Chelsom has one of the largest order books in the company’s history and a strong pipeline of future projects for 2021 and beyond.

This fast-growing business is looking for an energetic and resilient salesperson to join the UK team. With a proven track record in selling to the contract interiors marketplace, the candidate will hopefully bring a wealth of expertise, knowledge and networking potential to further bolster Chelsom’s already successful sales team. The UK Sales Consultant will be responsible for developing business across major accounts in The Midlands, The North of England and parts of London. Exact locations will depend on where the candidate is based and applications are welcomed from all parts of the UK. Accounts will include major hotel groups, interior designers & architects, 3rd party FF&E procurement groups, main contractors, electrical contractors and project management companies all of which will be servicing the UK and global hospitality sector. Based from a home office, the Sales Consultant will be required to manage their key accounts to ensure that they are regularly communicated with, visiting them as and when necessary for product presentations and project discussions. Prospecting and cold-calling to build up new relationships will form a large part of the role and the candidate will have to manage a varied pipeline of projects. Lead generation tools will assist the individual with potential projects and a considerable team will back up and support them from Chelsom’s head office.

Revenue is expected to come from both major large-scale projects as well as from day-to-day sales from the Sales Consultant’s client base. The Sales Consultant will be expected to ensure that there is regular flow from both revenue streams and will be given targets to achieve on an annual basis. The candidate will report into the Sales Director and will be expected to report on all aspects of their job on a regular basis.
