Posted in Events, News on 20 May, 2024

Miami, Florida: Hotel and Resort Design South (HRDS) has announced its complete schedule of content for Thursday 6 – Friday 7 June, 2024 in Miami, Florida.

The conference program, developed in partnership with NEWH, will explore the most-discussed topics in hospitality design, from guest experience and future trends, to AI tools and immersive experiences. Expect thought-leading conversations, cross-industry knowledge swaps and live Q&As.

The HRDS schedule of content will be the platform for the most dynamic conversations in the hospitality design industry, with a unique focus on the Southern States and LATAM region. Leaders in the industry will be debating whether lifestyle has gone mainstream, talking all things Gen-Z and asking, ‘what’s the new cool?’.

The keynote horizon watch Leader’s Debate will bring speakers from across The Getty’s Group, Marriott International, Hilton and Royal Caribbean Group to discuss the new cool. Hospitality brands are looking to harness the power of interiors to tell the story of their locations and communicate the authenticity that the next generation of guests are looking for. Meanwhile, with seemingly every brand looking to ride the wave of lifestyle, visitors can return to their companies with the key to unlocking design success with Lifestyle goes corporate – is it an oxymoron? Hear from speakers at Marriott International, MEAD Collective and Urban Robot Associates about how to replicate the success of lifestyle brands while injecting an individual voice into the design.

Join speakers from Hyatt, Six Senses, Iberostar Group and OBMI for a Spotlight on the Caribbean, highlighting the successes, developments and future vision for the area. With a strong focus on building relationships with the community and aligning with individual islands’ own plans for the future, this session is a must-attend for any design professional working on projects in that region.

Of course, there’s one big conversation dominating all hospitality design conversations, and that is sustainability. Designers and buyers attending HRDS can also attend the first in-person working group for Sustainable Design Summit. Join peers, colleagues and counterparts in the hotel, cruise and travel design industries for Refurbishments: a circularity state of mind. Swap knowledge and get stuck into frank conversations at this roundtable discussion, working together to transform the face of refurbishments throughout the design industry.

With the cruise and hotel market continuing to cross over, an additional benefit of attending HRDS is that attendees receive access to the co-located Cruise Ship Interior Design Expos Americas (CSI) and its curated conference program. Attendees can share ideas, draw inspiration from both markets, and meet with designers and suppliers working on the design of world-class hotels, resorts, and private island destinations in the South and LATAM.
