KCA International unveils Sofitel Branded Residences in Dubai
KCA International, the acclaimed design studio behind iconic interiors such as the Burj Al Arab, has presented its newest venture: the Sofitel Branded Residences in Dubai.
Conceived as a collector’s mansion—Maison de Collectionneur—the project invites residents into a narrative-rich living experience where classic French artistry encounters the cultural vibrancy of the Middle East.
Inspired by the imagined world of Jacques, a distinguished French collector with a passion for Neoclassical art and global travel, the design tells a story of cross-cultural harmony and artistic curiosity. Jacques’ journey and personal collection become the guiding thread through the interiors, as if each space were a page from his journal—curated, elegant, provocative, and alive.

This newest addition to KCA’s portfolio captures the joie de vivre that defines Sofitel’s brand DNA yet pushes boundaries with its daring creative expression. The result is not just a branded residence; it is a cultural statement that elevates the expectations of contemporary luxury living in Dubai.
At the heart of the concept are four key design pillars that shape the identity of Sofitel Branded Residences. The first, Classical Rebellion, embraces timeless design motifs reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, breathing new life into tradition. The second, Daring and Provocative, signals a bold new wave of design that dares to challenge convention and redefine the norm. Immersive and Current speaks to the creation of environments that ignite cultural dialogue and spark meaningful personal interactions. Finally, Elegant and Chic reflects a sophisticated yet playful spirit—effortlessly stylish, confident, and refined, it embodies the essence of joie de vivre.
This philosophy is embodied in every detail, from the art curation to the architectural proportions, materials, and storytelling. It is a design that honours tradition while unafraid to subvert it—an approach that speaks to a new generation of culturally astute residents.
Residential Spaces: Personal Galleries in the Sky
In the typical residences, modern French aesthetics take centre stage. Soft colour palettes, sculptural lighting, curated artworks, and rich textural layers create a harmonious blend of refinement and comfort. Every living space is envisioned as a gallery—where the act of living becomes an extension of artistic appreciation. The interiors balance structure and softness, discipline and whimsy, offering a modern expression of French style tailored for life in Dubai.
The penthouse level, dubbed Maison de Maître, is a study in grandeur. Grand French doors frame expansive skyline views. Neoclassical architectural elements meet contemporary craftsmanship, with collector’s cabinets, engraved panelling, and bespoke detailing. Here, residents inhabit a space that feels not only elevated but storied—a residence of distinction where luxury and legacy meet.
A Cultural Tapestry of Shared Spaces
The public areas of the Sofitel Branded Residences are designed as extensions of Jacques’ artistic world. Each space invites residents to engage, reflect, and connect.
- The Main Foyer sets the tone with its gallery-like presence. The space is shaped as an homage to art salons of old, where masterpieces, both literal and conceptual, offer a sense of arrival rooted in grace and imagination.
- The Artist’s Lounge, nestled beside the foyer, is a haven for thinkers and aesthetes. With its mix of French Neoclassical furniture and Middle Eastern influences, it embodies a melting pot of ideas—an inviting space where residents share tea, stories, and inspiration.
- The “Salle de Projection” (Screening Room) elevates home entertainment to an art form. Designed with cinematic grandeur and acoustic precision, the room is intimate yet impactful, blending immersive technology with plush elegance.
- The Fitness Suite, inspired by the leisure salons of historic Parisian estates, features fine panel detailing and curated art. Fitness becomes more than routine—it becomes ritual. The adjoining multi-purpose room adds adaptability, offering a beautifully crafted space for private functions, workshops, or wellness sessions.
- “La Galerie d’Evasion”, the resident’s lounge, functions as both communal hub and cultural canvas. Thoughtfully curated artwork and furniture offer an atmosphere of quiet luxury, while its flexible layout allows for events, social gatherings, or serene contemplation.
Even the corridors are a sensory journey—featuring bespoke wallpaper, marble floors, ambient lighting, and curated global art pieces that transform transitional spaces into design destinations.
Living With the Collector’s Eye
Central to the project is the integration of Collector’s Pieces—a series of curated artworks and objects chosen to reflect both French and Emirati sensibilities. These works are displayed across residences and public areas as though Jacques himself had selected them on his travels. This careful curation creates an emotional connection between space and story, offering residents an immersive narrative experience that goes far beyond visual aesthetics.
From start to finish, every element of the Sofitel Branded Residences is tailored to evoke wonder, connection, and joy. It is a place where refinement is never sterile, where opulence has meaning, and where every space has a soul.
