LAUFEN CELEBRATES WIN AT THE DESIGNER KITCHEN & BATHROOM AWARDS
Swiss bathroom specialist Laufen have won Design Collaboration of the Year at the recent 2018 Designer Kitchen & Bathroom Awards.
Laufen’s Sonar collection and its partnership with renowned designer Patricia Urquiola has won the ‘Design Collaboration of the Year’ category.
The prestigious award ceremony took place at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London on Monday 8th October. The awards are designed to celebrate residential kitchen and bathroom design projects and products from across the world and were hosted by radio and television presenter, George Lamb.
Emma Mottram, Marketing Manager Laufen, comments; “We are thrilled that Laufen has been recognised at this year’s Designer Kitchen & Bathroom Awards. We are incredibly proud of Laufen’s heritage of collaborating with world-class design talent to create truly innovative bathroom products and the outstanding Sonar collection is no exception.”
The innovative new SONAR collection is the very latest range from Laufen. For SONAR, the internationally acclaimed and eclectic designer Patricia Urquiola, has taken SaphirKeramik to a third dimension with great sensitivity to create textured ceramic that leads the way in bathroom design, creating products that are even more daring and innovative. The traditionally smooth and continuous outer surfaces of washstands and bathtubs now take on a three-dimensional aspect, while conserving the particularly slender lines of SaphirKeramik. The material has unprecedented performance properties, allowing for the creation of wafer-thin, but exceptionally robust walls, finely-defined curves and tight-edge radii of just 1 to 2mm – inspiring products that truly push the boundaries of bathroom design.
