Maisons Pariente’s first 5-star hotel in Paris will be one of the new places to discover in the capital this Autumn.

Situated at the corner of rue des Archives and rue de la Verrerie, in the heart of the Marais district. With 61 rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, winter garden, cabaret, and an indoor swimming pool, the new Maisons Pariente property in Paris promises to be a captivating destination for visitors from all over the world as well as for Parisians themselves.

Maisons Pariente, Paris, France. Home to hundreds of works of art and pieces of vintage furniture

For the love of art and creativity
For this large-scale project in a legendary district like the Marais, the Pariente family wanted to give a major place to art in all its forms. The decor of Le Grand Mazarin bears the inspired signature of internationally renowned interior designer Martin Brudnizki, who combined the French classicism of 18th-century salons with a refined, joyously poetic fantasy. Prestigious French craft houses, such as the Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Companies) label, provide a dazzling demonstration of their skills, from lighting to tapestries. In addition, contemporary artists such as Jacques Merle and Sophia Pega have created bespoke works. Finally, the hotel is home to hundreds of works of art and pieces of vintage furniture,  sourced in Paris, London and elsewhere, in collaboration with Amélie Maison d’Art.

A taste for sharing and travelling
Boubalé, meaning “little darling” in Yiddish, is the affectionate nickname given to grandmothers of Eastern Europe and the name of the bar, restaurant and winter garden of Le Grand Mazarin. Created in collaboration with JLM Group known for  successful establishments such as Balagan, Shabour*, Tékès and Shosh-Shana.

Pamper yourself in a different way
For the ultimate luxury in the Marais, Le Grand Mazarin’s vast indoor swimming pool is the perfect place to catch your breath in the hustle and bustle of Paris. Thanks to a partnership with the Parisian alternative beauty concept store Oh My Cream, guests can also have an exclusive selection of cosmetics from the finest international brands delivered to their room.

Leslie Kouhana, President of Maisons Pariente comments: “It’s immensely satisfying to be coming to the end of this wonderful project, which began over 5 years ago. It’s also the pleasure of a job well done, thanks to the commitment of everyone involved in this collective dream. The dream of opening a 5-star hotel in the Marais, in the heart of old Paris, to create a place that evokes emotions and embodies qualities such as boldness, joy and sensitivity, anchored in its city and open to its neighbourhood, as an invitation to come and celebrate life. It’s been a wonderful adventure and, in the end, as exceptional project”

Kimberley Cohen, Artistic Director of Maisons Pariente comments:  “Paris, our city, the Marais, a district that never stops reinventing itself… At Le Grand Mazarin, we wanted to give art and creativity pride of place, thanks to some marvellous talents: decorator Martin Brudnizki and our artistic curator Amelie Du Chalard, who have not hesitated to mix styles, periods and media, but also artists, ancestral craft houses, and graphic designers… Le Grand Mazarin seems to have always been there, a part of this traditional yet avant- garde district of Paris”
