Mark Carnazzola appointed as Hotel Manager at Royal Lancaster London

Mark Carnazzola has been appointed Hotel Manager at the recently renovated Royal Lancaster London, the iconic 18-story hotel overlooking Hyde Park.

Originally from Queensland, Australia, Mark studied Operations Management at Cornell University in New York State and first moved to the UK in 2002.

Having begun his career in hospitality over 20 years ago, Mark has worked in both operations and finance in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Saudi Arabia, and the USA. Mark’s initial roles were in finance for many renowned hotel groups such as Intercontinental Hotel Group; Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts; Morgans Hotel Group; and the Maybourne Hotel Group. His last finance role was Area Director of Finance for Claridge’s, The Berkeley and The Connaught hotels.

Following this, Mark gravitated towards hotel management and spent time as Director of Rooms at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London; and General Manager at Nobu Hotel Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Most recently, Mark was General Manager at the Bentley Hotel London.

Mark brings with him a wealth of knowledge and international experience in luxury hospitality to the recently renovated hotel. Royal Lancaster London is located on the boundary of Hyde Park and recently completed its £80 million renovation. The hotel has been ranked as a ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For’ for three consecutive years. The extensive renovation encompassed the hotel’s grand entrance, bars and restaurants and the 411 guest rooms and suites. The hotel offers three restaurants (Nipa Thai, Island Grill and Park) and two bars, as well as 16 refurbished meetings and events spaces, including the renowned Nine Kings and Westbourne Suites, with a capacity of 3,000 guests, making Royal Lancaster London one of the largest banqueting venues in Europe.
