This project, a cooperation between Qatar and Belarus, started in June 2012 and has now entered its final stage of construction. The unique falcon-shaped design was inspired by the logo of the owning company; the falcon is the national bird of Qatar and a symbol of force and courage throughout the Middle East, where falconry is a traditional sport and part of the cultural heritage.
Interior design was imagined by Belarusian and Lithuanian specialists. The hotel’s general contractor Magnus Group chose several different companies and artists to work on our interiors during the construction.
The project of Multifunctional complex was designed by Varabyeu Partners. It says, “The Project includes construction of four parts of the complex, namely a Hotel, a Sports Center with retail stores, a Racket Club and a multi-level Parking. All the buildings are interconnected by walkways and, along with the Hotel, are located under the same roof, which resembles a hover falcon – the Sports Club logo of the Qatar Armed Forces.”
