Meininger hotels makes three senior appointments
Meininger hotels has made three senior appointments to its team: Nicolas Capelle as Head of European Development; Marcus Grebenstein as Head of Development for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Malin Widmarc-Nilsson as Head of Commerce.
The appointments are part of Meininger’s objective to establish a presence in all key European cities within the next five years. It currently operates 16 hotels in 10 European cities.
- Nicolas Capelle was previously Development Director France and Benelux for Motel One, identifying new development opportunities for the hotel company, and has held previous roles at PKF hotelexperts and Hilton Brussels.
- Marcus Grebenstein previously worked as German Development Director for Regus where he led the company¹s expansion throughout the country. Marcus is highly familiar with the German real estate market and brings a wide network of contacts within Germany, Austria and Switzerland (D-A-CH region).
- Malin Widmarc-Nilsson as Head of Commerce will be in charge of the sales, marketing, revenue and e-commerce departments. An experienced sales and marketing professional having previously been Director of Sales & Marketing for Norse Hotels Scandinavia, as well as Pullmann Munich, Malin joins with 24 years of international hotel industry experience.

These appointments follow Meininger’s recruitment of Robert Seeley as UK Head of Development and Patrick Sanville as Head of Development in France earlier this year.
