New deluxe family beach villas with plunge pool at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi

Think travelling with toddlers is tricky? Little compares to the complex privacy-seeking, adventure-craving, social media-satisfying, eco-experiential interests of a teen. Responding to the very specific needs of this particular age group, Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is introducing three new Deluxe Family Beach Villas to its portfolio to invite families with older children to its UNESCO shores, where rock-climbing, sky-diving, zipline adventures, archery, X-Jetblades, jet ski, wind surfing and Jetskis await.
 
Each Deluxe Family Beach Villa is a 226 square metre (2,433 square foot) standalone haven that offers families with teens the extended space and convenience of two bedrooms and two bathrooms with ample personal space for daytime lazing and evening pampering.
 
Accessed via a quiet garden path, the expansive outdoor living space – just a step up from the Resort’s 1.5-kilometre (about 1 mile) beach – features a dipping pool, large shaded dining deck and day bed, with the villa’s own beach hammock strung between the palms on the adjacent sands.
 
Inside the striking Bill Bensley designed interiors, high ceilings and vast walls of glass frame two large living areas, a Hammam-style terrazzo bathtub (big enough for four), a family-size walk-in closet, and an outdoor sunken shower. The junior twin en-suite bedroom has its own TV and games console – but with so much to do in the surrounding Langkawi UNESCO Geopark, this is one place where parents won’t have a problem coaxing teens away from screens.
