Paris to welcome floating hotel

Plans have been revealed to welcome a floating hotel on the River Seine in Paris.

French architects Ronzatti has imagined the 54-room and four-suite hotel, which will sit within the floating catamaran-like facility.

The idea for Off Hotel is to be very French and very Parisian in its architecture: two buildings will sit along the River Seine (right bank to left bank).

The building, whose main investor is Novaxia, has been designed by Gérard Ronzatti (President of Seine Design), with lighting plans devised by Franck Franjou.

Ronzatti says, “The floating hotel is in actual fact two floating facilities which are strongly articulated and connected. An accordion pleats’ system permits to keep a feeling of discreet rolling in order to really give an experience of living on the water.”

The 80m hotel will also include a restaurant, outdoor terrace, which will open out onto the riverbank and a small marina for small vessels.

The hotel is expected to be completed in Q1, 2016.
