Salt Hotels debuts ‘Salt House Nantucket’ for Summer 2022
Featuring 18 boutique Nantucket-style rooms, the 17th-century-replica style hotel has impeccable design inspired by local sentiments.
“Salt House Nantucket will be a true celebration of summers on the Cape,” says David Bowd, CEO of Salt Hotels. “Since launching our first property in Provincetown, Salt Hotels has always considered New England as its home base, so we’re thrilled to continue planting our roots in this region and offer our unmatched hospitality to this beautiful beachfront community.”
Beyond luxuriously appointed guestrooms, Salt House Nantucket features ample gathering spaces including an expansive lawn complete with lawn games, fire pits surrounded by adirondack chairs, complimentary bikes available for exploring the island, and plenty of quiet corners to enjoy an inventive cocktail or tuck into a good book. The public areas feature the breakfast room and lounge, which spills out onto a dining deck and outdoor bar and lounge area.
Salt House Nantucket is inspired by the agrarian past of the historic Brant Point neighbourhood, which was once dotted with working farms. The post and beam structures that make up the hotel have been given a modern overhaul with bleached oak floors, a warm neutral colour palette, and luxurious details and touches. Rich glazed tiles line the newly renovated bathrooms; airy suites hold custom cabinetry, high-end appliances in their kitchenettes, and custom light fixtures throughout.

“Salt House Nantucket has a light and contemporary look, apt for a New England escape,” says Kevin O’Shea, Chief Creative Officer of Salt Hotels. “We chose a sophisticated colour palette and design aesthetic – quintessentially summer on Nantucket; easy breezy.”
Salt House Nantucket is the latest in Salt Hotels’ New England expansion, with a property set to launch in Newport, Rhode Island next year. The collection also features Salt House Inn and Eben House, located in Provincetown, MA.
