The Sanya EDITION was hugely successful at the 13th Hospitality Design Awards. The hotel fought off competition from over 600 competitors to win Best In Show, Best Upscale/Luxury Hotel and Best Upscale/Luxury Public Space. All winners were selected by an esteemed jury of industry professionals.

Having opened in December 2016, The Sanya EDITION is the latest creation for the brand from legendary hotelier Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International. The hotel comprises 512 residential-style guestrooms, including 46 suites, and an additional 17 exclusive hotel villas nestled into a terraced hillside, each one with a private pool and private outdoor space. The meticulous attention to detail of Ian Schrager Studio is felt throughout the property, which redefines the codes of traditional luxury by balancing sophisticated designed and personalised, attentive service with one-of-a-kind food, entertainment and cultural immersion.

Now in its 13th year, the Hospitality Design Awards sets an industry benchmark for hotels and restaurants that pioneer in the design sector. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony held in New York’s Cipriani Hotel.
