SARAH COLSON LIGHTING RANGE LAUNCHES AT DEBENHAMS

Applying a commercial perspective to her signature handmade designs, British-born Sarah Colson has created a unique and exclusive lighting collection in collaboration with high street giant, Debenhams. The range has been named ‘PRISM’ and consists of four striking pendant lights and two table lamps.

Inspired by natural quartz formations, the geometric crystal shapes are a perfect sculptural addition to any home interior. Gently enhanced by a soft, subtle colour palette, the capsule collection invites versatility in its function; a living room pendant, bedside light or a statement cluster for the hallway and dining room.

The talent of the award-winning designer was recognised with the 2016 LAVA award and the 2015 ELLE Decoration British Design Award for Lighting Design for her namesake brand, testament to her design expertise and desirable creations.

On the collaboration, Sarah says: “I was so excited to be offered the opportunity to work with Debenhams and bring my experience and vision to the customer. Geometric quartz crystals nested side by side in illuminated caves inspired the forms for the GEM collection. The sculptural designs played with the light on their numerous facades and inspired the idea of creating multiple forms that could be use individually or as an eclectic set. I envisage them as a central pendant in a hallway, hung in multiples above a dining space or as bedside lamps.”

The collaboration with Debenhams shows the department store’s commitment to supporting home-grown talent and builds on its heritage of creating high street designer collaborations.

The collection will launch in 30 stores and online from December.
