Sleep, one of the most important trade events of the year, has announced the themes for their conference programme.

Revival of the Myth
Tristan Auer will deliver an opening keynote on the challenges of bringing iconic properties back to life. Entertaining and erudite, Auer will explore his work at the Hotel Les Bains Paris, winner of the Hotel of the Year at the AHEAD Europe Awards 2015 and the recently re-opened Hôtel de Crillon.

Fast Food
Our three visionaries take to the stage to deliver fast-paced vignettes on the ever-changing world of F&B. With insights from Bob Puccini, founder of Puccini Group, USA, Ido Garini from Studio Appetit and Simon Rawlings, Creative Director at David Collins Studio – all held together by Sleeper editor Catherine Martin.

Design Beyond Space…ID
There’s more to hotel design than the physical space. In line with the introduction of the Visual Identity category in the AHEAD Awards, we turn our attention to the increasingly important design of a hotel’s identity. Join Matt Utber from The Plant, UK and Candice Madrid-Dahlqvist from Sweden’s Identity Works to discuss graphics, signage, fonts and collateral in the hotel realm.

Emotional Modernism
With over 30 years of design experience New York-based Jeffrey Beers has worked on global projects ranging from hotels to F&B, casinos to cruise ships. From the Raffles City complex in Singapore to the Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel, tutored by no less than Oscar Niemeyer and I. M. Pei, hear about his passion for conjuring up emotional spaces (and glass blowing).
