Stylt Trampoli develops new hotel in Swedish mountains
Globally acclaimed and award-winning agency Stylt Trampoli will develop the new hotel concept for the mountain hotel in Laisaliden. This in collaboration with other award winners Blå huset with Cecilia Sandström, and PR-agency Punkt PR.
“Our ambition is to create a world-class visitor destination. And with this team in place we believe we have all the prerequisites needed to succeed,” says Mattias Önell, Project Manager.
Stylt Trampoli is a world-renowned concept agency with award-winning works such as the Spedition Hotel & Restaurant and HUUS Hotel in Switzerland and The Well in Oslo, Norway. The agency’s latest project in Dubai is to open in 2018.
“We are very much looking forwards to this collaboration. The Laisaliden area is already well worth a visit. Our job is to find ways to elevate the experience at the same time as doing the surroundings justice,” says Erik Nissen Johansen, Creative Director at Stylt, and continues:
“It’s a truly magnificent and inspiring environment as well as having an engaging story behind the hotel. A very good base to work from.”
Over the years, Laisaliden mountain hotel has attracted thousands of visitors. It was closed for development and renovations in the summer of 2017 when the new owners, Fort Knox and Norrland 2.0. took over. What direction the new owners would take with the hotel has not been known. But, with the team behind the concept development now announced, some pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall into place.
“We’ve had the pleasure of working with Stylt before, for example when developing Stora Hotellet in Umeå. It is a tremendously competent team that understands our ambitions for Laisaliden and what we want to accomplish together”, says Markus Olsson, CEO at Fort Knox.
No opening date has been set for the hotel, nor do they wish to reveal the direction for the new concept.
“As the new owners, it has been important to find a team that shares our vision and values. We have an idea about where we are going and what we want to achieve with this hotel, but nothing is set in stone just yet,” says Mattias Önell and adds:
“Together with Stylt and the other team members as well as the neighbouring community of Laisaliden, we will be able to create a visitor destination with that little something extra.”
Cecilia Sandström, Food and Beverage Manager at Blå huset, and Punkt PR are also included in the team. Cecilia Sandström will be working in parallel with Stylt in creating a food and beverage concept for the hotel. She has previously worked on an award-winning concept for Stora Hotellet and Gotthards Krog amongst others. The Umeå-based PR-agency Punkt PR was awarded gold in the PR competition European Excellence Award in 2016 and will be strengthening the team in PR and marketing.
