5* Great Scotland Yard Hotel, London appoints Mario Flanagan as new General Manager
The five-star Great Scotland Yard Hotel, Westminster, has announced the appointment of hotelier Mario Flanagan as its new General Manager. A seasoned hotelier with Hyatt, Mario brings his passion and a wealth of experience in hospitality to the hotel, for the next stage of its journey.
Mario says:

Mario’s hospitality journey started in his native South Africa at The Table Bay Hotel part of the Leading Hotels of the World, starting at concierge to rooms division. In 2007, Mario joined Hyatt Regency in Johannesburg as the Director of Rooms, and in2008 was promoted to Executive Assistant Manager. Following this role, he moved to the UK and took the position of HotelManager in the Hyatt Regency London, The Churchill.
In 2013, he was promoted to General Manager at Hyatt Regency Birmingham, where he piloted a £6 million hotel refurbishment in 2014, which eventually led Hyatt to win BID’s ‘Best Hotel in Birmingham’ for 2015.
Mario moved back to London in March 2019 as General Manager at Andaz London, Liverpool Street. A Champion of diversity, equality and inclusion, Mario’s has a passion for developing his team into future hospitality leaders by caring for people so they can be their very best.
