For two generations, British company Focus SB Ltd has been dedicated to manufacturing electrical wiring accessories of unparalleled quality. Tonje Odegard speaks to Sales & Marketing Manager Steve Moss, about how the company is now considered industry pioneers…

Every project is different and over the years Focus SB have worked with many of the UK’s most prestigious hospitality brands to help them create products of unparalleled quality, offering unique designs that are both beautiful and functional.

As well as supplying its own brand of high-quality electrical components Focus Sb also welcomes collaboration with third parties. “This enables us to work in partnership with other suppliers and offer more flexibility and continuity throughout the Interior,” Steve says.

The attention to detail that is applied to each electrical accessory ensures longevity, which is essential in a demanding commercial environment. Their brass plates are treated with electrophoretic lacquering which provides durability and offers a hard-wearing finish that ensures its products will keep their appearance over time. Focus SB are also the one of the only UK manufacturers able to match its rocker and toggle switches to its plate finishes. As they say, ‘the devils in the detail’.
With all products manufactured and hand-finished in the UK, the company works closely with designers, architects and installers every step of the way, and its in-house engineering and finishing facility enables the company to be flexible and reactive to customer demands, especially for bespoke products.

Focus SB have recently become the UK’s first and only luxury wiring accessories brand licenced to manufacture and export wiring accessories to China looking to cater for premium hotel resorts and residential developments that look to take advantage of the growing demand for high quality British made products.

Steve recalls something one of Focus SB’s senior engineers once said to him: ‘Can you get more jobs like that? I really enjoyed making it.’ “That’s the key for me,” says Steve. “You can have all the technology in the world, but what makes our products truly unique is the passion that goes into making them.”
