SPACE editor Can Faik talks to Diane Breeze, Director of Chillie Breeze to find out the secret of her company’s success…

Diane Breeze, Director of Chillie Breeze, was based in Dubai from 1996 – 2010, which has gleaned the UK office (where Diane is based now) great knowledge of the Gulf region and Sub-Continent culture that is also able to express this in their projects. “Understanding the hospitality industry, luxury-brand business and the local culture is the height of importance in completing our projects,” says Diane.

Chillie Breeze offers a unique service to the hospitality industry and residential development projects providing the very best in interior styling & FF&E procurement service. Established in 2005 and operating between the UK and UAE, the company can combine design with product sourcing working in tandem with the interior designer and client to create the appropriate mood and ambience for the property.

Since 2010, Chillie Breeze has expanded its UK office and realised that being based in Europe makes them able to offer a better service due to the accessibility to USA and South American manufacturing companies, as well as the Asian Market, which offers clients better options.

One of their most recent projects the ‘Market Kitchen restaurant’ in the Le Royal Meridien Hotel Abu Dhabi, Chillie Breeze supplied all the accessories displayed in the restaurant, amd worked with LW Design on behalf of the concept creators Culinary Concept USA.

The company has established an impressive portfolio of projects, some of which are detailed below;

The H Hotel, formally The Monarch, where Chillie Breeze supplied accessories for the whole hotel working, with Roya International, which won many awards – one was the Best Royal Suite two years in a row – it’s since been refurbished.

At the Capital Club, Dubai, the company supplied accessories for the whole club working with LW Design.

At the Ritz Carlton DIFC, accessories for all rooms and the spa, including the spa furnishings for the treatment rooms, were supplied by Chillie Breeze.

Chillie Breeze has supplied many of the accessories for many Rotana hotels by the Rotana Group, including Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Yas Island Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi, Al Bustan, Al Murooj, and Arjaan, to name a few.

Some of the other projects include Jumeirah Group, The Westin Hotel (all public areas and restaurants); Emirates Hotel Dubai Marina (room accessories); Raffles Dubai (room accessories); Le Royal Meridien ‘Market Kitchen’ Abu Dhabi; JB’s Gastropub Amwaj Rotana, Dubai; and Gunaydin Dubai Turkish restaurant, Dubai. The company is also currently working on a Hyatt project in Dubai.
