Raffles Dubai Announce New Director of Business Development
Ayman Gharib, General Manager of Raffles Dubai, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jaouad Sbihi as Director of Business Development. Effective 1 September 2015, Sbihi will oversee the sales and marketing activities at the Raffles Dubai.
Commenting on Sbihi’s appointment, Gharib said, “We are delighted for Jaouad to take on the role as Director of Business Development. Sbihi brings with him over 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry, of which eight years are with Raffles Dubai, and he will continue to play a vital role in maintaining the property’s prominent position within the city. As an iconic symbol of traditional Middle Eastern culture, ancient Egyptian history and refined Asian characteristics, Raffles Dubai offers impeccable service, subtle luxury of space and sophisticated style for today’s affluent travelers.
Having established a leading profile in the Dubai market, Sbihi first joined Raffles Dubai in 2007 as part of the pre-opening team as Sales Manager. One year later, Sbihi was swiftly promoted to Senior Sales Manager followed by a growth to Assistant Director of Sales in 2009. Two years later, Sbihi took on the position as Director of Sales handling the corporate segment, heading up consortia and luxury travel in America and Europe, as well as looking after key GCC accounts and VIP delegations. Sbihi’s constant drive and excellent performance earned him the role as Director of Sales & Marketing FRHI – Qatar in 2013.
An avid golfer with fluency in English, Arabic and French, Sbihi’s extensive traveling and passion to experience different cultures has seen him explore countries worldwide. He holds certificates in Sales and Hospitality Management from Cornell University in the United States and a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Mohammed V University at Souissi in Morocco.
