At the service of a demanding, specialist customer base right from the start, since 1987 Rubelli has handled major Italian and international projects via a specific department.

The contract product range has expanded constantly over the years to reach increasingly high levels of quality thanks to research by the style department which year after year introduces new patterns, exclusive weaves and original colourways.

With an attractive look and pleasing touch, these fabrics with high technical performances – flame retardant, resistant, washable and versatile – are certified to meet the strictest international safety standards.

Rubelli has developed flame retardant fabrics suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and which, thanks to their high strength, cover a broad spectrum of applications and uses.

Playing a part in boosting the added value of the Rubelli contract product range are, among others, the Greenguard Gold certification which certifies that the fabrics do not release harmful substances into the environment and Oeko-Tex which guarantees the use of fabrics not treated with harmful products, including carcinogenic ones.

With its own mill and design department, Rubelli can also provide bespoke products: not only fabrics produced directly to the client’s design but also products whose development requires specific design and specialist skills. An exclusive bonus in the case of renovations of museums, theatres and historical buildings as well as residential and hotel projects dealt with by international designers.

In the case of special requests, Rubelli is also able to produce designs from the residential collection in flame retardant versions.

The technical fabrics are intended mainly for the hospitality sector, from the large chains (Four Seasons, St. Regis, Marriott, Hilton, Sofitel) to boutique hotels, ship building (Silversea, Costa Crociere, Regent, Holland America) to retail and public spaces such as restaurants, airports, business centres and, increasingly often, the residential sector.

In addition to the collections designed by its own Design Studio, Rubelli keeps presenting unique capsule collections created by international designers as Peter Marino, Luca Nichetto and Luke Edward Hall.

Alongside the technical fabrics Rubelli has introduced a collection of coordinated wallpaper which, thanks to special treatments, can be used also in the hospitality and cruise sectors.
