Laminate and wood-based panel manufacturer, EGGER, is showcasing its biggest-ever range of products for the hospitality sector at this year’s Sleep hotel design event.
Partnering with London-based design studio forpeople, it has created a stand that presents the trend-oriented variety of EGGER’s Decorative Collection 2017-2019.
EGGER’s innovative collection includes 297 laminates and 95 MFC decors with matching edging. 124 new designs and seven new textures were introduced earlier this year and many of these will feature on the stand.
All of the products on display, from authentic wood-grain decorative boards, edging, super-smooth MDF panels, design flooring and laminates to on-trend tough matt finishes, can be perfectly coordinated to reduce cost without compromising on the finish or performance.
This is an international collection, which means a decor can be specified for a chain of hotels or other commercial projects across a number of countries.
An extensive and diverse decor range
Although best-known for its ultra-realistic woodgrains, there are over 90 uni colours and many new material reproductions in EGGER’s laminate range. Neutral uni colour decors, vibrant reds, on-trend blues, marbles, linens and metals will be on show, as well as an expanded choice of 24 Feelwood decors, with industry-leading deep textures and synchronised-pore finishes.
EGGER’s head of decor development, Elliott Fairlie, said: “Material reproductions are very popular this year so we will be focusing on some of our most successful new decors from this range such as Boston Concrete (F283 ST22), Marmara Marble (F160 ST9), Copper Metallic (F570 ST2) and Ferro Bronze (F302 ST87).
“We have worked closely with the designers at forpeople to display our new collection as effectively as possible. We wanted a stand ‘by designers for designers’ and we hope our products capture what the market is looking for.”
A selection of EGGER products will be displayed on stand V6 located at the entrance of the exhibition. There will be a decor pixel wall featuring 85 x 85mm laminate samples in over 250 decors for visitors to take away. An interactive area is located at the back of the stand, where people can mix and match the samples, trying out new colour and texture combinations.
New Topmatt laminate with high scratch resistance
The PerfectSense bar area will showcase EGGER’s award-winning premium high gloss, and anti-fingerprint matt products. These contrasting surfaces have proved a popular choice in exclusive interior designs.
The bar counter will be made from Topmatt, EGGER’s latest addition to the PerfectSense range. This supermatt laminate, cured using electron beam technology, is anti-fingerprint and scratch-resistant. This makes it ideal for horizontal surfaces, providing wide allocation opportunities including worktops, desktops, tabletops and doors.
Elliott commented, “Our PerfectSense range is now even more versatile with the addition of Topmatt. This means the same decor can be specified across a Matt Laminate or Lacquered Board for frontals and Topmatt Laminate for the horizontals. This gives a sleek, modern look and is an attractive option for designers and specifiers.”
