Focus SB’s Horizon Classic is specified for The Standard London

Focus SB Horizon Classic plate style finished in satin chrome, complete with white inserts, is specified for The Standard London, the first of 20 properties planned for launch by the boutique US hotel group in the next five years.

Architects Archer Humphryes and interior designers Shawn Hausman Design selected Focus SB’s Horizon Classic beautifully finished in satin chrome from the award-winning UK manufacturer’s extensive luxury electrical wiring accessories collection, featuring white inserts to complement the bold, sharply designed suite interiors, and Horizon Classic finished in matt black for The Standard London’s eye-catching top floor signature restaurant and bar with roof terrace.

The contemporary Horizon Classic flat plate from Focus SB features radius corners and matching trimless metal switches and was the natural choice for The Standard London, perfectly suited to complement Shawn Hausman and The Standard’s in house design team’s striking updated nod to the ’70s. With bold colour, pattern and geometric design elements running throughout the hotel’s suite interiors and communal spaces, Horizon Classic succeeds in seamlessly complementing the contemporary, yet fun, vintage inspired theme.

Due to open in July in a prime London location, architect Archer Humphryes has expertly orchestrated an eye catching transformation of the Camden Town Hall Annexe interiors resulting in a striking contemporary 266 bedroom hotel, as part of a wider development of the brutalist iconic ’70s building by architectural practice Orms. The thoughtfully restored building, formerly dubbed ‘The Egg Box’, features the addition of three new storeys to the eight existing, clad in stainless steel and glass panels, and exemplary attention has been paid to the interior design details including the beautifully finished Focus SB Horizon Classic electrical wiring accessories, handcrafted and finished in satin chrome and matt black. The Standard London is the sixth hotel to become part of The Standard group’s chain, which all showcase uniquely creative and sophisticated interiors developed by Shawn Hausman Design.
