Mosaic Hotel Beverly Hills
Mosaic Hotel, an intimate boutique 49-room property, is managed by Gemstone Hotels & Resorts, a full-service hotel management company that specialises in unique luxury hotels and resorts. Hamish Kilburn writes…
The new interior design is rich and welcoming with a comfortable look and feel. Envisioned by Luxlo, a luxury London-based design firm, it is now making its first foray into Beverly Hills.
California is celebrated in the redesign of the hotel. Through the injection of bright colours and original design elements, it’s a classy boutique addition to the area. The hotel isn’t ‘quirky’ as such; it oozes modern style with soft palate of creams, soft-browns and the rare flash of vibrant influence coming from the artwork on the walls.
The lobby is where the first impressions are made and secured in this case. Complete with a medley of the world’s finest furnishings and fabrics, the grand yet unfussy space is calm, welcoming and above all, relaxing.
The rooms have been crafted to create a relaxed and tranquil experience for guests. A large headboards discreetly blend into the walls, and the choice of Carolina-blue cushions, throw, curtain tops and artwork, which is reflected appropriately through a large circular mirror.
Mosaic Hotel’s new design has comfortable residential touches mixed with modern furnishings and artistic touches including bespoke silk embroidered Fromental wallpaper with a nod to famed artist David Hockney, as well as a custom weave sculpture by Renee Dinauer and original wall art by David Dauncey.
With Beverly Hills famed palm trees on the walls, the well-appointed bathrooms boast rainfall showerheads, filletto marble tiles and white stone vanities throughout with white Calacatta marble for the suites.
The hotel’s pool area has also been given a new look with sleek white furniture, cabanas and cosy fire pit to deliver an inspiring setting to swim and unwind.
