Agua Donates Fabrics to make Scrubs, Scrubs, Glorious Scrubs

Posted in News, Products on 4 May, 2020

In these unprecedented times it is important that we all do whatever we can to help those who are battling on the frontline to help keep us safe. Agua the London based market leader in performance upholstery fabrics is helping to address the NHS’s dire shortage of PPE including hospital scrubs.

This image of NHS staff at the Royal Gwent Hospital graphically illustrates the ongoing shortage of all types of healthcare apparel. So critical is the shortage that any type of fabric is being pressed into use. To help the NHS and to do their bit to ease the shortage Agua donated 1000m of a healthcare appropriate washable fabric in plain colours. Agua are deeply indebted to Richard Head of RH2H who has assembled and co-ordinates a small army of volunteer seamstresses and machinists and is using the donated fabric to make up much needed scrubs for the dedicated staff at the Royal Gwent Hospital. Agua hope to be able to show the finished scrubs once they have been manufactured by Richard and his wonderful team and have been put to good use.

Josh Ralton Director of Agua Fabrics commented: “Our NHS staff are working tirelessly to keep us safe in these challenging times without a thought for their own safety and we wanted to help in any way we can. By donating 1000 metres of fabric we hope that we can make a small difference to those on the front line.”
