Agua to Reveal best in performance fabrics at Sleep + Eat 2019
Agua, the London-based market leader in performance fabrics, will be launching new collections at Sleep + Eat 2019 (19-20 November) at Olympia London. The family-owned business has been supplying textiles to the contract market since the 1930s, and its wealth of knowledge and experience has earned the company the reputation for designing and manufacturing some of the best in technical design-led performance fabrics.
The hospitality industry is a key market for Agua, within its extensive range of 600 plus upholstery performance fabrics there are many that have been designed specifically with the hospitality sector in mind. Launching at this year’s show will be the Tierra Eco collection, a new innovative 33% plant-based eco friendly faux leather. Professional specifiers and their clients are more ecologically driven than ever and there has never been a higher demand for vegan products, making Tierra Eco an ideal choice. Driven by Agua’s long tradition of innovation and technical excellence, Tierra Eco uses a new manufacturing process which ultimately means that the plant-based fibres are biodegradable. As expected from Agua, there is no compromise in performance and Tierra Eco achieves 100,000 Martindale abrasion rating.
Agua will also be relaunching the Mystique collection with an enhanced range of metallic finishes. Mystique was designed specifically for the hospitality, cruise and leisure sectors. The collection offers contemporary effects for upholstery schemes by incorporating textural designs including Atlas, Pegasus, Titan. Launching at Sleep & Eat will be new colourways – sophisticated warm hues of wine, petrol, blue and grey along with a selection of cool neutrals. All of the fabrics in the Mystique collection are anti-microbial, bleach cleanable, fire retardant to crib 5 as standard, Martindale rating, phthalate-free, reach compliant, stain-resistant and waterproof.
Sleep + Eat is Europe’s leading design and innovation event for the hospitality sector, giving Agua the perfect opportunity to show off its collections to designers, architects and developing talents across hotels, restaurants and bars. Agua will be on Stand B62 at the show.
