Iona Crawford for Newmor Wallcoverings

Posted in Products on 7 September, 2016

Newmor’s new collaboration brings Iona Crawford’s signature painterly style to the commercial market with a collection of 18 fabric backed vinyl wall covering designs.

Raised on a working farm in the Scottish countryside, Iona Crawford graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007. Hailed as Vogue’s One to Watch in 2009, she quickly built a reputation for distinctive prints and experimental silhouettes. Iona’s delicate and expressive designs are inspired by the vast beauty of the landscapes and nature that surround her. Each of these prints has been developed from a painted canvas and retains the original handcrafted quality.

The collection draws on four key looks that reflect Iona’s serene aesthetic – antique interiors, wilderness, etheral and botanical details. Designs such as Exist (above) are taken from corroded architectural surfaces and feature weathered walls, patterns created by crumbling plaster, antique tile prints and peeling paint. Botanical details, organic textures and natural tones can be seen throughout the collection including Tropics, a dramatic large scale leaf print. The drama of the wild comes to life with abstracted nature design, Breath and whimsical fox damask, Alan. And Cuvée Rosé, a delicate floral pattern, was featured at the Cuvée Rosé Champagne Fashion Brunch – a collaboration between Iona Crawford and Laurent Perrier and will also feature at the Wilderness VIP Pink Party this year.

Experiment with different effects by printing onto any of Newmor’s commercial quality fabric-backed vinyl wall covering materials, including textures, metallics and window films. Samples are available for 24h dispatch and there is scope to create bespoke designs and colourways. Coordinating fabrics and furnishings can be purchased from Iona Crawford Atelier.
